Water has got in to the boot lid and the boot separator switch is dead. does anyone have a part number for this item. The water getting in I think is the rear back light in the boot lid, but all ideas very welcome

Hi Thebook. I don't think the mechanism on the Cab is the same as the coupe. it just has these coils to assist the boot opening, I can't see anything else other than these black coil units ?

Hi Dec that's how I presume it should open. I have adjusted the cam to max, but it's the same. just unlocks and slightly opens.

Thanks for all your replies . I have taken off one off the spring units, there I noticed that number 3 in the photo has a 12mm multi faced cam that slightly adjusts the spring tension....... however it makes not a jot to the overall tension clean and lubed it up. but it's still the same So i...

yes . torsion springs are what is on my E-250 Cab. I can't see a way of increasing the tension. hey are expensive for what they are. if anyone has any ideas of how to increase the tension power ?

Happy new year guys. the thing is when I press the boot open on the Cab. it unlocks but won't open wide as it should the boot assist springs have be cleaned and lubed but no change....... any ideas, it seems too soon to fail as its 2014.

Hello. I'm looking to fit a Dashcam to my E class cab and thinking of running the cable behind the plastic cover over the offside windscreen pillar. Can anyone tell me how to remove this cover or at least loosen it so I can feed the cable.
