Banners for motorway services on comand

Markjay is on the right track but as nickpb has indicated my Comand is NTG5.5 in the S213 it is a 2018 model I am fairly certain the feature is there somewhere as I think I turned it off but cannot remember how. It is equally possible that senility is catching up with me and It was my previous...

Banners for motorway services on comand

I have a S213 2018 and have just driven across France from Calais to the Italian border at Menton using the motorways. I am almost certain that there is a feature in the Comand system that displays the distances to and facilities available at the motorway service areas ahead when using the...

    New Eclass Estate less capacious.

I have not measured it but think it is just too small to get even a space saver in. If anybody has tried it and found a solution I would be really intersted and would buy it in a heartbeat

    Auto tailgate open/closer

I have just got an S213 with hands free access. A problem that I have had when cleaning the load area is that the car thinks that because you have not opened the cabin doors that it should shut and lock the rear load compartment door. This has caught me on the back of the head twice now and it...

    New Eclass Estate less capacious.

I have just purchased an S213 having previously had both the 211 and 212. The load area on the 213 is slightly shorter in length by around 5mm but the width is the same. I have had a problem with the cage for the dog which fitted easily into both the 211 and 212 but the height is just too tight...

Moving dashcam from S212 to S213

Thanks. He makes it look easy Am I right in thinking that the plastic cover that says "air bag" is the one to be removed to release the clip?

Playing video on Comand in new S213

I have just got a new S213 with Comand and wondered if it is possible to play video files on the system. I have no interest playing whilst in motion but it would be a good facility to have while waiting for ferries and in traffic queues. Does anybody have any ideas how to do it. Thanks

Moving dashcam from S212 to S213

I tried plugging into the cigarette lighter at the rear of centre console but was unable to close the ash tray with it in place and it was not fiirm enough to remain in place with the ashtray open. My current solution is to use the USB point in the armrest, feed the wire under the armrest door...

    Changing car - opinions sought

I too had a W211 estate the E320 and loved it. After 7 years traded it in for the W212 estate. Your are right that the floor does not sit flat but as soon as you put the floor underload the seat springs compress and he-presto you have a flat load area. I have the E350 and it is a much more...

Moving dashcam from S212 to S213

Yes it does but the USB connector then plugs into the Cigarette lighter sized gadget (cannot think of the correct term) to plug in to the power socket. I can use the USB connection point in the armrest but still have the problem of routing the cable from the centre of the car to the windscreen...
