Fuel filter is every 15 years. They are a few quid so they get missed often. ATF every 40k too. Brake fluid every 2. Coolant every 15 years.

Jack in the workshop is thinking of selling his C43 if its of any interest to anyone on here. Massive history file and only 2 previous owners, please call the workshop if you are interested.

I would be checking how good the connection is on the gearbox electric plug.

An air leak is the most common thing.

It will probably be one of two things. The cam actuators are faulty or it has a worn balance shaft. There is modified cam actuators available from MB and they are only £23 each IIRC. I would probably put a set of those on firstly and see how you get on. If its a balance shaft issue that's...

Live data needs to be checked when its faulting. Low fuel pressure can cause these symptoms.

Get a professional thread restorer to come out to you. It will be expensive but this is the kind of work they do everyday. Don't attempt it yourself. Those bolts are very close to the water jacket.

I am pretty sure thats a retro fitted part. They were done when the car was new.
