    A35 Lane departure assist

The box would be something like an Autel scanner that allows you to code stuff that MB normally wouldn't alter - like seatbelt warnings, stop/start etc. Should be able to switch lane tugging off - google or a search on here should suggest what scanner/box of tricks is best for MB.

W205 lane keep system.. pre facelift vs post facelift

Thanks all. Actually, no, scrub that. Thanks BJC :) Completely agree lane keep can be annoying if unswitchableoffable and VW auto panic braking is genuinely dangerous, and lane keep and autocruise aren't really usable on very busy UK Mways, and a real man would never ever use these systems...

W205 lane keep system.. pre facelift vs post facelift

Ha! That’s what I call a comprehensive reply - thank you - much appreciated. Sounds very positive. We do euro trips once/twice per year and it’d be a massive plus if it works as well as my current car. Interesting point re grease on the screen or sensor, particularly as it was a new car? Thanks...

W205 lane keep system.. pre facelift vs post facelift

Hey up, I used to have a CLS55.. it’s one of the cars I miss the most. I’m kind of thinking about pre facelift C63 estates - nice sensible practical family car. Nice reliable economical petrol engine. Big boot etc. By the drivers door on the dash are the ‘options’ buttons in a row - some cars...

    CLS55 Engine Rattle

Does sound like bearings - if it doesn't do it with the charger belt off, you've found it :( I changed the oil in mine - might be worth a go?

    Keyless Start issues CLS55

I think there's keyless antennae/receiver units fitted front and back on our cars to get the doors to unlock, maybe more inside the car for the actual keyless go - specialist could maybe identify which is used for the ignition. You'd expect it to work better with the engine running and the car...

    (Not so) Smart Repair

^- what he said. This stuff is always useful. We've had two smart repairs done - a BMW tailgate dent fill/prime/spray was undetectable colour-wise but left a small run in the laquer, and a solid red bumper corner was ok-ish from a distance but spotted by the lease co and chargeable to buff out...

    (Not so) Smart Repair

Christ. Glad to hear that will be recified correctly. I'd guess spraying the whole side of the car, blending front to back, and clear coating bumper to bumper will make it look perfect. Handles off, trim off, the whole nine yards - but it'll look right when it's done. I'm guessing the guy who...

    C55 AMG estate incoming

Stonking cars these, so under the radar it's untrue. I nearly bought one a couple of years ago, just bad timing. Minimal salt in Japan is a massive plus for cars like this - I would also recommend extra rust proofing if you're thinking of keeping it. Diesel comparison must be an April fool's...
