Stop expanding the ULEZ to all the London boroughs in 2023

It’s unlikely you can dodge the cameras, there are too many of the darn things (because they are set up for road pricing). You could potentially set up auto payment and see if you get charged on particular routes. That way you won’t risk a PCN.

London ULEZ stops Mercedes W202 entering in 2023.

I would be wary of investing any serious money into avoiding the charges because it will be a short term measure. Once the precedent has been set for paying TfL to use the roads and cameras are everywhere, they have effectively got away with monetising London’s roads. They can set any charges...

Stop expanding the ULEZ to all the London boroughs in 2023

Imperials “environmental research group” was donated £800k by Khan! And funnily enough https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2023/08/19/khan-tried-silence-scientists-questioned-ulez-claims/

His findings with the meter matched live air quality mapping. Watch the videos and see what you think.

Stop expanding the ULEZ to all the London boroughs in 2023

Jacobs made a report for the TfL consultation concluding it would make virtually no difference so khan & co ignored it and moved to emotions blackmail instead. Brown Car Guy on YT used an air quality meter around London. Even under Heathrow with a A380 landing the outside air is ok. In the...

Stop expanding the ULEZ to all the London boroughs in 2023

Diesel vs petrol argument is irrelevant. The outside air is perfectly clean. Any actual data proves that. What this is about is installing road pricing infrastructure. Apparently ‘smart’ pay per mile has been shelved for now due to complexity but the immediate goal is to charge car journeys a...

    V6 or Straight 6?

I prefer the I6 to drive. It is noticeably smoother and IMO sounds nicer. As Will posted, the V6 is rock solid and has acres of space around it to do basic maintenance. Water pumps, pulleys etc are a doddle. It’s a pleasant engine but a bit dull. The I6 is strong but watch for seeping oil from...

Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

There were a load of roadworks, closed parking bays and temp parking signs along there so I don’t think I have incriminated the owner!

Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

Tried to make it moody and artistic but failed!

Stop expanding the ULEZ to all the London boroughs in 2023

A cinema, restaurant, caffe, baker or whatever does offers a real life experience that isn’t available behind a screen. If they close because the council plops a Homebase planter (LTN) in the road and their customers order Uber eats & watch Netflix instead that’s not a free market in action. *...

Stop expanding the ULEZ to all the London boroughs in 2023

Does this not make you wonder who is lobbying for all these taxes? Local businesses and high streets are going to have even tougher time competing with Amazon than B&Q.

is Reverse gear needed for MOT ?

You can get cars transported for surprisingly little using shiply. Or find an MOT garage with the exit on the opposite side of the ramp!

    Stella McCartney's 190E sells for £7k

I would love the see the state of that sill with the cover removed! On the plus side you can buy galvanised sill panels for £120/pair which actually fit ok. Mine has covered 180k, has been parked outside near near the coast most of its life but has only needed the rear sills and a small patch...

    Best brake squeaking paste?

Did you thoroughly clean everything, lube guide pins etc? I just use cheap ceramic paste from Amazon (silver something) for the pads, very quiet.

    CAZ, ULEZ General Whinge.

A nice thought but not how money is actually created.
