The general reason for that is the cost of keeping diagnostic software up to date.. up here it averages at around £70.. Also depends on dealer/garage. Ive had loads of freebies in the past cause they know I’ll come back.. I do share your rant though.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I want to put my S280 back on the road. After snapping 2 rear drive shafts, I'm concern there may be an issue with the diff. Just after I bought the car it developed a leak on the ASD pipe, I did sort this but think the diff lock may not be disengaging when it should. Hope this makes sense...

It's a great car just be prepared to have deep pockets.. My w140 stands me about £1.5k (over £800 for tyres) plus then the purchase price and is still off the road due to a snapped driveshaft which I can't source :-( but the Ride is sublime.. you can get repair kits for the airmatic suspension
