    OM642 Hybrid Turbo

Unfortunately not :( I thought I had asked for that to be done as well but there must have been a miscomms during my booking and it was too late in the day to put it on the dyno. I will definitely come back and post some stats once I get it on there but I guess having before data is out the window.

    OM642 Hybrid Turbo

Hello! I only recently went ahead with the remap at MSL. It has been about a week and initially I didn't feel much of a difference but having thrown it around Milton Keynes a bit more, I can now appreciate the extra pull. When people talk about the transmission being the limiting factor, it is...

That is really helpful mate, thank you very much. I shall keep it at that then.

    OM642 Hybrid Turbo

Thanks for the responses. Yeah I did try MSL, they said remap only. Maybe the engine information in their database is incorrect for my registration? Otherwise seems a shame. mioba - yes I suspect it wouldn't pass a MOT. It's a project car for a bit of fun except when it comes to mechanical...

    OM642 Hybrid Turbo

Hello, Does anyone know an indie who would help me with getting a bit more performance out of my V6? I'm not looking for anything silly. I'm aware the transmission in this thing are a limiting factor but I imagine ~310 bhp should be achievable (thinking dpf delete, hybrid turbo, exhaust...

Parting with my CL63 for a CLK320 CDI

Tell me about it, I was thinking the same in the beginning, alas this is not the case - lots of multi contours without memory out there. CL left the premises last night. What a machine. The interior leather is another level of course. I might look to reupholster various areas in the CLK but it...

Parting with my CL63 for a CLK320 CDI

Thanks guys. Yeah NTG2 I believe. Still trying to get some MP3 CDs to work, guess I'll have to try burning them at 1x haha. Hold up, are you suggesting that this car should have never had manual seats and someone took them out?! I wonder if it's worth having the data card chrcked..

Parting with my CL63 for a CLK320 CDI

Finished my search. It's not perfect but I am now proud owner of a CLK320 CDI with AMG sport and sunroof. It is missing memory seats and luxury climate control which I will look to retrofit over time but for now, she will certainly do. As you can all imagine, the CL will be missed. I had my fun...

Parting with my CL63 for a CLK320 CDI

I haven't abandoned this thread, I've been quiet due to no major progress being made, I have however put a deposit down on a 91k miles CLK320 with AMG Sport and Sunroof. I decided that these 2 were important because retrofitting memory seats would be the least hassle. Oh cool! What are you...

Parting with my CL63 for a CLK320 CDI

I know. Sad times. The CL is phenomenal. That aside. Although it's a little dated, I think the CLK still fits in well, both inside and out. I suppose a E350 CDI would be an ideal alternative and more modern but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't the interior just more cramped? More plastic everywhere.

Parting with my CL63 for a CLK320 CDI

I can't say I'm not tempted to keep it. Each day I battle with this idea. I mean, 20 MPG is absolutely best case scenario (not having a little bit of fun in this car is counter-intuitive) and the CLK320 would probably average more in the 35 ballpark. Never mind I only put in the higher octane...

Parting with my CL63 for a CLK320 CDI

I'm going to be a little more patient. 2 or 3 more weeks, and then comprimise on spec or buy an interim vehicle. Thoughts are; Concentrate on AMG sport and sunroof, that way I can at least retrofit the rest, one day. It's a car I'd like to keep till it's last legs and perhaps even keep the...

Parting with my CL63 for a CLK320 CDI

Yeah I think comprimising will be my only option, then later either swapping out for a better spec car or searching for a cheap 'repairs/salvage' car for the parts I'd like (memory seats, digital climiate control, etc). Ahh, thanks for this. Looks like I'm sticking with the coupe! :D

Parting with my CL63 for a CLK320 CDI

I appreciate all the input! Thanks for the detail. I'll see if I can get any advice from the specialists. I'd say 91k is a lot of mielage for a 2009 car. I have thought about the sunroof being installed afterwards but research tells me to steer clear of this route especially as the structure...

Parting with my CL63 for a CLK320 CDI

Due to a recent change of job and soon to be an additional 35 miles each way, I am needing to drive something more realistic for commuting. I am very reluctant to say goodbye to the NA V8 but logical reasoning has taken over. I have always loved the CLK shape and prefer the interior over the E...
