S213 ABC & dynamic body control malfunction

2018 S213 E229d. Driving in -7 this morning in a lot of ice and after 30 minutes this pops up? Have I got some ice damage on my self levelling rear suspension. Anything else this could be? Car currently not sagging at the back end as best as I can tell.

    Timing chain and guide replace.

Depending on the engine it's generally an engine out job especially on diesels after 2011. They started putting the chain at the back due to pedestrian safety and having a lower bonnet line. Ball ache to do in situ and is a 2 person job with lift and jacks.

How many gears should I have ? 9 speed auto

My S213 E220d won't shift into 9th until 73mph on flat or downhill. Uphill you'd have to be closer to 80 before it even thinks about it.

NOx - Understanding How Many Of Us

So am I right in thinking that everyone in this thread who's successfully had the sensors replaced via goodwill / under warranty has got full Mercedes Service history?

    S213 Air Suspension Collapse

this can be one of only two things. Leaking air bag spring or a connecting pipe from the compressor. It's really that simple and doesn't need an OBD diagnose to turn off the ignition and fall to the floor in 5 minutes

    7G+ service time/mileage

That's not a bad price considering the amount Iv work involved. That said I'm sitting on 99k miles with 2 services already last one being 23 months ago so il hangon fir at least another year. Will they accept doing just a stand-alone service on the gearbox and nothing else?

    7G+ service time/mileage

Hello all. So my 2013 S204 with 7G+ is now at 10 years old in my capable hands for servicing. Mr Car Assyst plus and Mercedes Myservice web page disagree on what service it is. I'm inclined to go with the Mercedes service page. Anyway it's calling for a B9 service with added air filter, fuel...

    S204 parking brake pinged off

Well a slither of good news here. My car (63 plate) is on the last year of the Mercedes extended warranty and the foot operated mechanism is covered by it but not Cables. I’d only finished fitting new front discs and pads yesterday in the rain so really wasn’t fancying doing the cable if it’s an...

    S204 parking brake pinged off

This is how my problems have started with the pedal not returning. Now the pedal is loose and brake inoperative and the handbrake release lever on the dash is totally loose as well with obvious cable slack. I did have to WD40 this mechanism for the same last year so I guess this mechanism is my...

    S204 parking brake pinged off

So my W204 estate has just the parking (foot brake) go loose to the point if not catching. The cable is obviously slack so it’s either a snapped cable which I find unlikely or cable has popped off a spring or adjuster somewhere. After a quick glance there was No obvious cable dangling on inside...

    Main dealer servicing “technicians”

Il be totally honest in that I am not surprised this forum has fallen on its **** recently. Every topic, every subject every day is people pulling apart other people’s threads in order for a game of one- upmanship whilst probably filling time at work or filling time between pension collections...

    Main dealer servicing “technicians”

That’s true. I do wonder what the pay difference is between say the young technicians or apprentices and the Master Techs in their 30’s. Would be interesting to hear from somebody in the main dealer service trade to actually find out what the setup is. In the NHS world it’s now developed into...

    Main dealer servicing “technicians”

Will I have to ask you, as you are a “Veteran member”, do you exist here just to sit around all day, pontificating, reading through random threads to then reply with an opposing view which then inevitably turns into some sort of personal attack on ones character. You are not the only member...

    Main dealer servicing “technicians”

This could well be where I was mistaken, they just looked young to me, they could have well been in their mid 20’s with my age blindness. I have always been of the opinion that to truly create a good level of workmanship in any sector/industry that you should have a solid bricks and mortar...
