    Rear subframe

@TeddyRuxpin yes Stuttgart are due to start the work next week. I’ve also used Continental, off Ocean Way. Had no problems with them either but crossing Cardiff to get to them was becoming a pain. Stuttgart collect my car if required.

    Rear subframe

That’s not good! I’ve been under the back of mine a fair bit, I’ve tidied up a few corroded brackets holding the air suspension components on. I’ve never seen anything like that on my subframe but it must have been there! The time yours is taking is what’s putting me off taking it further with MB!

    Rear subframe

@Petrol Pete I will. I’m going to speak to the Indy early next week so will remind him to keep the subframe.

    Rear subframe

@TeddyRuxpin I’ve not seen the corrosion on mine yet. It said ‘two holes’ on the MOT failure so I think it’s somewhere different to the video. I’ll try and get some photos of the old subframe once it’s removed. I use Stuttgart in Pontypridd. I’ve used them for MOTs and various other repairs...

    Rear subframe

100% agree. The Indy I use said he’s lost count of the number of subframes he’s done on 204s and 212s. He seems to think the new subframes are better quality as he says they feel heavier but time will tell…..hope yours is an exception. 🤞🏻

    Rear subframe

@TeddyRuxpin my last service, on the service plan, was carried out by MB in Jan this year. No mention of corrosion even though they found a brake pipe that was corroded. Annoyingly replacing the pipe required the subframe to be dropped. MB Bridgend wanted £2500 to replace the pipe and front...

    Rear subframe

Hi all I’ve just had my 2012 S212 fail the MOT due to a badly corroded rear subframe. Spoke to the indy who said it would cost £1700 (this also included rear disks pads and shoes as it also failed on a binding service brake) to replace. I then phoned my local MB to see if they could help. The...

    Command online-how to connect

@Diesel Benz the last time I used it (about 2 years ago) Here We Go worked but as you say it doesn’t seem to work now. I bet MB have stopped supporting it. I can’t find anything online to confirm that.

    Command online-how to connect

Very strange in the world of smartphones. I can’t remember the last time I connected COMAND to the internet. I don’t even use it to send sat nav locations any more.

@GingerNinja quite a selection of them on eBay. No idea of the quality though. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCEDES-W204-CHROME-PLATED-INTERIOR-DOOR-HANDLE-LEFT-PASSENGER-SIDE-UK-/323523967996?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

    Smart Meter reading

Worth keeping an eye on it. It’s hard to compare but mine was less than 200kWh from 9 May to 9 June. My wife and I are both working from home and we have 2 kids who like leaving their consoles on!

    Smart Meter reading

This is my real time reading (through the app) from now going back in 30 minute intervals. Can you access the reading another way?

    Smart Meter reading

That’s a lot! Even with it on I can’t imagine what you could own that would use that much power! Must be something wrong. Mine sits at less than 1 kWh most of the time.

    W212 self-levelling part numbers.

I’ve been monitoring my suspension sag for the past few months. My conclusion is it only drops when I open the boot, after a trip, and the car automatically drops the rear. It starts dropping within hours when this is the case. Does anyone know what controls this function? It seems like that...
