What's the cheapest CLS Lease Deal?

thanks Into the dealer today with some alternative pricing, looks like the best is £380/mth 10,000 miles/yr for a 350 shooting brake? So far as spec goes I normally just look what is in stock (selecting the engine of course) and make my judgement on that, we did this with my wife's SLK and...

What's the cheapest CLS Lease Deal?

I am considering leasing a CLS 350 CDI shooting brake, I have already leased my wife's SLK 250 CDI which was £38K list and we pay £248/mth plus VAT for a 10,000mile 24 mths deal. The reason I ask is that the above SLK deal was not advertised and had to be negotiated by pointing out the MB...

Rear Tyre Wear E Class Estate

Latest News OK two new things:- 1) I have had the gearbox in "sport mode" maybe with the 320CDI torque there is an element of wheelspin on startups? I know that my wifes SL500 was causing us grief as she started with the same 7 speed gearbox and was very abrupt. Therefore I am experimenting...

Rear Tyre Wear E Class Estate

I should have said mine is the sport model which I think has lowered suspension, when I was towing I stopped at some services and the tyres were hot, I expect that I may have bought the wrong model for towing!

Rear Tyre Wear E Class Estate

Just been quoted £400 pair fitted including VAT for the Michelin Pilot 265/35ZR18 PS2 97Y (as advised from Michelin UK) incidentally the garage will pump them up with dry nitrogen (no I don't want to start another topic on Nitrogen thanks!). So I think I will try them, shame the Continentals on...

Rear Tyre Wear E Class Estate

I don't know any E class drivers with 18" wheels that get anywhere near 30,000 miles on the rear of one of these estates. I have read on an American Mb forum that another owner reduced his pressure by 6 psi and got better more even wear. He contends that Mb specify a too high tyre pressure?

Rear Tyre Wear E Class Estate

Agreed, but my previous E 320 CDI estate with 17" wheels was still going strong (maybe 4mm left) at 22,000 miles?

Rear Tyre Wear E Class Estate

I do all this already, I just wonder if the geometry of the car is against 18" low profile tyres?

Rear Tyre Wear E Class Estate

Thanks for your reply, the photo isn't so good but it's a wear line of probably 3" wide. Regardless of this I drive reasonably carefully (ie no spinning wheels) and I would not expect such a low mileage as 11,900 miles. The engine an all my E class is the V6 320 CDI

Rear Tyre Wear E Class Estate

I have had 4 E class estates so far, the 16 & 17" wheels were OK, but I always have had high wear with the 18" wheels

Rear Tyre Wear E Class Estate

I I would like to check with other owners on how many miles they can get out of the rear tyres. I have a 2007 W211 sport estate with 18" wheels, the rear tyres are Continental 265/35R18 Contisport2 MO fitting. I have only done 11,900 miles and the tyres are close to or are illegal...

    Topside Oil Change on W211

I have tried to search these forums and failed miserably! I want to change the oil using a vacuum probe down the engine dipstick on my 320CDI estate (2005) however I now realise that MB has removed the dipstick and oil checks are via the dash. The question that I have is that have MB left...
