    W639 vito mirrors - difference?

Hi chaps Apart from the shape, is there any difference for example - fitment- that would prevent me replacing the squareish ones on my 07 vito for the more extended oblong ones from 09 onwards..? It's still a w639 so I'd imagine it would be fine.. Any thoughts? Cheers Mike

Mount spare wheel on Vito rear barn door?

Thanks for all the positive input. Some great food for thought there. I think employing the existing ply as well - and reinforcing its fixtures to the panel will help. I'm reasonably confident as the barn doors haven't seen any use and the hinges are nice and tight (need new grease really)...

Mount spare wheel on Vito rear barn door?

For me it was spec over length. I can get away with loading it differently. I would've preferred an xlwb but there we go! On the roof means extra air resistance. My enemy!

Mount spare wheel on Vito rear barn door?

This is gonna sound sad. But.. I need a solution. I will be carrying foodstuffs, all sealed and packaged (importing to U.K. from Spain) using my Vito. It's a SWB/compact and as such the spare is currently stored internally over the NSR wheel arch. I want to put it on the back door. I'm...

    C63 AMG - R - Spyshots

Current TT at the front / Passat CC / BMW Z4 at the back. Anyone else..? That wing. Erm.... is it from Halfords? The black paint, I believe, is there to disguise the hastily-filled holes from the even hastier fit/refit/refit/refit job on that 'spoiler' (NB - executed by the design team...

    W639 Vito radio interference

A quickie - When I plug anything f into the 12v plug the radio audio fills with 'static'. Doesn't do this with any other input. Is this poor earthing? Cheers! Mike

    Window regulator - W639 Vito

Talk about on-going saga... The application of silicon spray to the window runners on the door frame kind of helped for a day or two. However, it's now much much worse. The window closes about half way (sometimes less) and all the while it creaks and groans. It seems to get to a point where...

    W639 Vito 111CDi fuel consumption

Hi The van had CC fitted from factory, along with parking sensors and a few other toys so quite well specced (nice vinyl 'leather look' upholstery too!) The cruise is scarily simple to operate on the merc, i'd forgotten how easy. A good shout though! I debate whether using cruise actually...

    W639 Vito 111CDi fuel consumption

Hi everybody I know this has been done before but I can't find a thread prior to 2011 so I thought I might start another on the subject! After two months of ownership, with 243,000 on the odometer, I am successfully returning 32-36 mpg with a mix of approx 80-85% motorway at 70-80mph and he...
