I used the pre heat when the car was in the car park at work. No problems normally but it all depends on the car being able to get a signal wherever you parked it. Also the battery must have over 15% charge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure on the diesel front. Last I heard the C400 was due 2nd half of this year. New 2L Petrol and bigger batteries. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You may remember me posting about managing to damage the backend of the car. Well it's now been sorted. The company sent Autoglass mobile repairs to look at it but as the damage would mean taking the damaged panel off, and this would involve the charging port, they declined it and went away...

From my own checks last year, it goes up in 18/19 and again in 19/20. However so do all the other rates, it's a general BiK escalator. The new system proposed in the budget last time moves ULEVs into a tiered banding based on 'mileage on pure electric'. From memory on the proposed figures the...

I suppose it had to happen. While turning in a pitch black road I've caught the rear bumper on a boulder. What look like small pock marks near the charge cover. Looks like it will need rubbing smooth and painting. Any recommendations on companies to use etc? I'm in the North West, not far...

So a question for those who have had their C350e longer than me. Are winter tyres worth it? It's something I would have to fund, as the company won't (although it's happy for me to fit them). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've noticed that even on Hybrid I will see the electric range rise over a long motorway drive. I have though also noticed that, even if the ICE does not cut out, whenever I lift off the throttle for more than a moment I will get a green light on the regeneration gauge. I've always just put...

The couple of times I've had this I put the system into 'charge' mode for a few minutes. This seemed to sort it out and after moving it back to Hybrid everything was normal again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think, from watching mine, that on the flat and downhill the system disengages the ICE whenever it can and uses the electric motor as a regeneration generator. You should probably see the green recovery leds light up(not totally sure on this but I'll look next time out). Did a nearly 600 mile...

From what I've read, the main difference is that in 'charge' the electric is not available at all. Thus you are driving purely on the ICE. On E-Save it's still a hybrid, albeit one that is minimising electric use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think that's the main purpose. However, any braking etc will trickle more charge in via regenerative braking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My best guess, based on what I've read over the last month or so, is that the unit behind the mirror has one 'triangle' for the lane assist and one for the distance keeper. The middle 'lens' appears to be the camera for reading road signs. You get the lane assist in the passive assist pack and...

I've had mine just under two months now and seem to have settled at an average of just over 50mpg. The oddest idiosyncrasy so far has been how Command handles roundabouts. It seems that if they are over an arbitrary size they are treated as just a series of junctions. It does mean you keep...

    C350e anyone considering one?

Well about a month into running the car and I'm averaging around 53 mpg. As this is far better than the diesel that preceded it I'm quite happy with that. Do have a question though, for those who have been running a C350e for longer than me. I'm due to be away for just over three weeks soon...

From what I hear Lex are a pain to deal with. However, if you setup the phone app and do the vehicle activation via that you are offered the chance to activate on line. This then requires you to use the 'info' button in the car to talk direct to Mercedes. When I did it this way I got...

Leaseplan emailed me a letter the same day I called them. I did the online setup and took the letter and some ID into my local dealer. The dealer set it up and about an hour later it was all working. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

http://a66.tinypic.com/2zdzpkp.jpg I'm guessing between them they monitor the white lines for the passive lane assist and read traffic signs for the dash display. I have no idea which bit does which job though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
