Oh I have experience of pump repair, just had mine in for a leaking shaft seal. Our local diesel specialist showed me how rubbish the seals are in these new pumps - He ended up changing it for a more durable one.

Folks, Having stripped down the Injection system to repair a faulty seal in the pump, how am I best going about bleeding the system? Do I really need Star? Can I just crank (short bursts)? Any assistance appreciated.

Cheers. Yeah I had read about the Timing chain/sprocket issues with this engine. It's done 99k, I'm taking the rocker off later so will see how much wear is on the sprockets.

Cheers guys, didn't noticed your replies as didn't subscribe! Anyway, I can't see any damp leak on the top. I've jacked it up and it looks like it's coming out of the Injection pump to housing Gasket. Is it a common issue to go here? I might add that I've had it remapped to 190BHP and wondering...
