    Yup Pete, my dash glow light goes out pretty quickly so not much to worry about but i am having it checked out on Wednesday so will see what crops up. I just find that any dash light needs sorting but i am just an old natter can.

    Hi all, i have a 2003 ML270 cdti and i have the glow plug light coming on and staying on for about half a mile. This happens everytime i start the engine wether or it is hot or cold. What should i be looking at here,glow plugs/sensor? Engine runs perfectly but this light is beginning to annoy me...

    I should have put, changed all the fuel line 'O' rings incl. the pump 'O' rings. ( not change the pump). Apologies for any confusion.:wallbash:

    Absolutely correct, common issue, O rings on the common rail fuel line and on the High pressure pump harden after time and crack allowing the fuel to drain back. Had the same issue on my ML270 so changed them all. Cheap as chips and only took me a couple of hours ( incl.tea breaks) End of...

    Had the same issue on my ML so changed the 5 'O' rings on the fuel line and the 4 on the HP pump. Sorted.

    Yup, i am old enough to remember when the 'Road Fund Licence' was paid by those who use the roads to maintain/repair the roads. Unfortunately now it appears to be another 'back door tax' for the Government coffers under the prefix of emissions and s*d the state of the roads.
