You are probably better with an old copy of WIS/EPC. It needs the same faff with a VM but the data is good. WIS is not the easiest to navigate but you get the hang of it. EPC is excellent. Only costs buttons too.

As above with loosening the fuel pipe clamps there is just enough clearance to get the long bolt out. Just check you don’t have a temperature sensor fault though as the dropping to zero on the gauge doesn’t sound right.

Many good mb Indy garages will carry out a health check which includes a quick scan using the mb star diagnostic. I always do this when I get a new second hand mb. Will tell you what is going on with the lighting, your parktronic and anything else serious.
