You can turn this feature off using the steering wheel menu buttons. You can also choose how long they stay on for if required. Can't remember the sequence to get there, but should be easy to find. I only found the 'Hold' function after reading a recent post. What a good idea - I thought...

I'd take a guess there's nothing wrong with the ESP. That's how it's supposed to react. I agree, it feels strange when it takes over - but better than spinning tyres or ending up in a wall. You can turn it off, but.........don't!!! As Quackers said - Maybe the the remap has exasperated...

Ridiculous! Glad he was stopped before he ruined someone else's Christmas.

Should it not go to a 'Mercedes approved' body shop to keep any bodywork warranty valid? This was the case about 10 years ago when I some work done. Things have possibly changed - but worth checking out.

With respect... It's a bit difficult to see how a dealer could match every customers car with an equal model. ? Be grateful for anything....better than walking or taking the bus :D

My previous MB had a few periods of been 'parked for a while' - maybe 2 months at the most. The only issue I can recall was the initial release of the pads from the discs. Once the car was moving, a couple of applications to the brakes, would 'clean' the discs.
