Hi All I have a W211 on an 03 plate and the Distronic Cruise is not working and comes up as an error. Ive been told these units are expensive - can you by pass them so that just standard cruise control works without the "radar" unit working? How much would a new or recon one be and are they hard...

Now I find out that the check completed on the steering and frame was NOT a geometery check specific to MB but a general check!! Car goes into the MB workshop for a FULL check on Monday, will keep you posted. Thanks again for your help

Wow - Thanks for taking the trouble to provide this detailed info. I will ask them to provide this info as they have said its has a Laser Check? The two tyres are brand new as replaced by the body shop. Tyre pressured spot on. Will keep you posted thanks again
