No 3G or 4G = no live traffic (one of our customers lives in an area with no 3G) - so when 3G goes, if you have a 3g only module there will be no live traffic. Also, Mercedes won't let you re-subscribe to live traffic if you don't have the 4G/LTE module Richard

What age is the C class ?

We've sorted changing from code 360 (Hermes 1.5 3G) to code 362 (Hermes 1.5 4G/LTE) on E class W213 with COMAND (531) and it will also work for cars with the later Audio-20 (506). I'm being specific because there is also 350 (older) and for some reason the 4G module with the USB interface to...

That would require new software development on older systems. No chance of them doing that, they want you to buy a new car!!

You will need to buy a licence. The map that is on your system is licenced to the VIN for the car it came from. so no map is enabled, so there's no way to even re-install the map that is on the HDD without a licence key for that map matching the current VIN. Richard

Quite probably a firmware issue, or the cabling between COMAND and the instrument cluster control unit - so a dealer job as it's under warranty. Are you enjoying the EQE ? R

But his is 2007 and works completely differently and needs a disk installed in the nav drive in the boot (trunk) where it has to stay. As the OP is in USA I don't know the last map release for his car, but Europe it would be 2018/2019 which may be new enough to keep the OP happy for a couple...
