    W220 S320 Petrol - ULEZ question

I have a CoC for my 2000 registered W168, it has a combined HC & NOx figure like yours. There are several places that can NOx test motorcycles and amend their ULEZ status should they pass the test. I have been unable to find anywhere that can do the same for cars.

MB Selling their South London Dealerships

Tried to buy parts at MB Dartford earlier this week. Failed. I was told that they are unable sell any parts currently and are unsure when they will resume normal trading. Also told that they don't have any card readers....

    W203 Radiator Drain Plug Sheared

+1 for this. As previously said the plastic degrades over time. I will fit a new one when changing the coolant on mine. Not sure but I think think that there should be a washer of some kind (serrated?) under the head of the plug.

w168 OSR door PIN stays down??

The lock pin is cable operated on the rear doors. It sounds like the cable has snapped, most probably where it enters the latch mechanism.

    Tyre fitting recommendation west midlands.

I think that Event Tyres went bust. I used Tyres on the drive recently. They were very careful with my new wheels and didn't seem to mind me watching like a hawk!

Normand of Bromley - a little help please.

Yes, Bromley has changed a lot. Much of it to make way for The Glades shopping centre, so many lovely old houses were flattened.

Normand of Bromley - a little help please.

The Ford garage on Masons Hill was Bristol Street Motors, the building was Victory House. Large dealership and petrol forecourt when I served my apprenticeship there in the 70s. Tigers Head pub directly opposite. Loxleys (KJ Motors?) was further along Bromley Common near the Five Bells pub (bit...

    Mercedes Data Card

Is there some way of inputting a registration number into EPC to obtain the data card? Or is this something that is only available to MB dealers?

How do you/did you earn a living?

Served my apprenticeship as a light vehicle mechanic at a Ford dealer in the late 70s. Left Ford in 1988 to work as an engine builder for a sports car manufacturer, ended up building complete cars for them. Made redundant in 91 (recession), spent a couple of years doing a variety of stuff and...

    Wifes new whip! lol w168

When the car is locked is the passenger rear door actually locked? The lock button may be down but the door isn't locked. The cable to the lock button may have snapped and be getting caught up in the latch mechanism. Assuming this is a W168...

    iCarsoft MBv2.0

Just bought myself one of these, nice bit of kit, very easy to use. Unfortunately it won't communicate with the FTC (transmission ecu), says something like check ignition is on, ensure cable is properly connected and check if module is fitted to the vehicle. It reads the engine ecu, instrument...

    A finishing touch

Your fuel can looks fantastic! I'm now thinking that I need to do the same to mine, where did you get the paint? Browsing my W168 MB accessories booklet last night, the fuel can was £42.33 and the bolt £3.43 back in 2004. Wish I had bought a few and stashed them away, I've seen new cans going...

    A finishing touch

I have an incomplete B67580033 here, it's minus the bolt. I got this pic from a google search but it shows the parts that I have (the odd looking bolt in the middle of the pic, the large metal washer and a rubber washer) still with the original packaging.

    A finishing touch

I also have one of these fuel cans and it took me a month of Sundays to find the bolt to go with it. What part number do you have, B67580033? Lovely car by the way..
