The mirrors were working well when removed: folding and unfolding, adjustability, heated. I can't remember if the passenger mirror was autodimming. The driver's mirror has the wiring for autodimming, but the glass was replaced with a fixed tint with heating, which was very good.

I don't know yet. The area of concern is the tow hitch and I'm awaiting photos and a report on the condition of this from the garage where it is located. However, if I could retrieve my contents, I'd be (sadly) content to scrap the camper in france as the damage is so severe that it's value...

It appears that my breakdown insurer will move the car to a buyer's address, if that makes any difference to anybody? I should add that the nice wheels have been sold and the car now has an old set fitted.

My car must have at least two horns. I have found one in front of the radiator, but there must be another somewhere that I can't see. I've looked all around the engine bay, but still can't spot it. Anybody got any ideas?

Yes, the chassis rails extend all the way to the back. The chassis is U section, with the open side facing upwards. I'm hoping to bolt through the for/aft channel into the bottom of the chassis. I may be able to make a discrete hole through the floor above to get a socket onto the nuts...

That's what I was thinking. I accept that what I want to do will have some detrimental effect on stability, but I think that with good balancing, it should not head problem. There must surely be caravans out there that are heavier and less stable.

I may be able to fit one on the A-frame, but there is insufficient room for more. If there was room for more, the nose weight would be too high without adding counterweight at the rear.
