To remove the fridge, it is two long bolt/fasteners and unplug the unit from the plug in the rear panel- see attached pics (Thanks DB for the rear panel pic - mine is not complete yet, I will post when it is finished)

Well, it seems the steps I outlined actually are most of the steps. I would add that you will need to purchase the harness (the one that connects to the REAR SAM), screws, nits and the long fastener/bolts (the ones that secure the fridge to the stiffening frame) separately.

Yes, I have also reached the same conclusion - need retrofit that is probably to expensive to implement.

I guess the use of the work "simply" was ill advised, but it does need to be enabled in multiple locations. Thanks Richard.

Oh so it is simply turning it on, not aligning the headlamps or the camera. Seems that it should be able to read the US signs, but would only make me laugh if it got it wrong. I really would like to enable it on my car just to see how effective it is.

Just doing a little research in the parts for the W221, it seems that the multifunction camera is the same one that is required for SLA. So the enabling via the software is possible. I was unaware of the alignment requirement? Additionally, I am still researching why it is not rated to work...

These seem to be pretty cool. I might order a couple.

If you have low profile tires, if you buckle the rim, you are most likely going to damage the tire. Slits, plugs, cute, and/or internal damage may be done to the tire.

I just purchased some used tires that actually have 8 mm thread depth - they must have come off of the other car in very good shape.

I would replace tire and rim. I am in the middle of doing that myself. I have 2 rims that got damaged and I already replaced the tires, but I want to get a couple of used rims.

more feel of the road is absolutely important from a safety perspective.

it really depends on the driving conditions and your driving style.

I am thinking Blizzacks if I find 4 more rims cheap.
