    How about a Ford Mk1 Fiesta XR2?, I might know where there is a good example in need of a little bit of cosmetic restoration ;), they are only going up in value and you might get cheaper insurance for him if you insure it as a classic?? No longer available

    I know you would still have to sit in the traffic with everyone else but what about a Smart car??, 55mpg and if you get the right one free parking in london and no congestion charge........... I await a verbal kicking lol

    TBH what wemorgan says is gonna be one of the best ideas once you've tried all the obvious things with no luck, for what they charge for a workstation with a flat screen in the business range its just not worth the time and effort to try and fix a machine (especially a packard bell ) lol
