    The normal egr delete is fitting a resistor in the plug after disconnecting it and leave the egr fitted, have you checked that your swirl valve hasn't suffered with oil from the turbo leaking on to it. There are so many things that could be causing limp mode that without more info its almost...

    Blocked dpf could well cause that problem but the car will go into limp mode if they try and remove it so they won't learn anything, i would think they are going to either clean it or replace it unless its a faulty pressure sensor which i have seen a few of lately Martin

    I had a 2.3 granada auto that reved at around 3500 at 70 and there was nothing wrong with it. I suppose it had a low diff in it to make up for the lack of grunt Martin

    Diesels are not emissions tested only smoke tested on which the cat has only minimum effect, If it fails the smoke test it doesn't matter how good your cat is it will still fail because there is something else wrong somewhere. Also its not law for cat's to be fitted to diesels only petrol...
