i reset the trip on a long run i complete regularly. Id of put 1-2 mpg down to weather etc, but the 5-6mpg is just odd! i did notice in the service book they have put 5w30 oil in the car. the other services by merc were 0w30..... could that be the culprit.

hand it back to them, you have a 1000 mile/ 30 day return period if it was bought from MB. Tell em to poke it! you have owned it 4 days so not your responsibility and if you werent advised of this pre sale they dont have a leg to stand on!
