HI all. I'm looking at buying an older Merc and when I find one I'm interested in I'd like to know what it needs for the current age/mileage. Are dealerships generally ok for people like me to call them and ask the history and needs of a certain car? Would they help me? If not, where would I go?

I’m still considering a 2007/2008 S Class, most around seem to have about 65,000-80,000 miles on the clock. What are the servicing requirements for these cars at that mileage? Assuming they have a service history, is there anything major or whatever which is going to need done?

From what I’ve read, the airmatic is standard on all W221 models from 2016 except the S600, S63 and S65 which get ABC (source is Wikipedia).

I'm considering a used purchase and I’m worried that the servicing detail may not be genuine - for example of the service indicator has been reset etc. What kind of reception would a dealer give me if I called them asking to see if servicing has been kept up etc?

Thanks for that, although this one (and others when I search for similar terms or that part number) looks to have a black backing. Mine seems to have a silver backing. I might ring MB dealer up tomorrow and ask what the part number is.
