^ too late for me! But I am comparing to the figures quoted by MB at 55mpg. While I accept that is unrealistic, I would at least expect 45-48mpg as opposed to 33-35 which I seem to be averaging (and only hit 40 at a real push)!

Yep, am liking the sound of the ILS! The C had the standard Hill Start Assist feature if that's what you mean by the brake hold? It was essential as the C was a manual and with the parking brake foot operated would have been a nightmare without it!

BTW - has ILS on this one but don't have it on the C-class. Saw on another thread that folk on here recommend it but not entirely sure what it is/ does - can anyone enlighten me? Just want something else to carry on being excited about! Sorry - stupid question and just been reading about it...

That's good to hear. Made a bit of an error of judgment with the C-class. Great car and loved it but just not enough room for us in the end. Will be sorry to see it go but thinking this one should last a long time!
