    190 lumpy idle

How did you get on? When I bought my 190 last year I had a lumpy and hunting idle which was fixed by having the injection system "serviced". This involved the use of a long hex key by my mechanic - only the second time he's used it apparently because he hadn't had a mechanical injection car...

    Cheapest Car Parts

Although I have only used ECP recently, I notice that if you use topcashback then you can click through to carparts4less and enjoy 5% off when you spend £29.99 or more. I have put my referral link in behind topcashback if you want to use it to register - gives you a tenner so why not! Cheers

    W124 (1994) E300D exhaust

What's the deal with de-catting the exhaust? Are we allowed to do this? I ask as I will need a new system or mine will fail its MoT in August (if the exhaust last that long). I had a hole near the cat welded up a couple of years ago, which is now just about the only sound part on the...

I hate Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

Might be worth removing all ITV channels from your channel list. That's gonna kill most of the sh** in one go! ;)

    On a W124

Dave Mine has an aftermarket aircon system (Italian, like most of 'em I think) and it replicates the factory option - i.e. EC button, red light on = air con off :thumb: Also, centre vents - cold air only. ;)

    Your 1st ever post!

23/11/05: This is the 1st post I started (more interesting than the previous contributions). I still have the car I eventually bought so I guess I owe some debt of gratitude to the community for encouraging me in the 1st place.

Travel to St Ives at half term

I had a nice time earlier this year - actually went for my honeymoon with the new Mrs Mondo and the young 'un. We went in the week before the May half term week and missed most of the traffic problems, mainly by travelling to Exeter from Northants on the Friday, staying ovenight and then having...

    h a lock

I bought my car from Albert Lock in 2005 and have had it serviced there ever since. He is such a nice bloke and his son works there with him, always providing great conversation while I am waiting for my couresy car, often one that's older than mine with even more miles on. They can deal with...

    Free the Yorkshire ripper ?

Do a new poll: Was the 'Free the Yorkshire ripper ?' poll the most pointless ever poll on this site? I mean FFS, what is the point of this sh*te  I'm grumpy this evening, clearly.

    5th Gear last night

Recorded it and came downstairs at 7.40pm to watch. Pressed PLAY and started to watch the recording. After fast forwarding through adverts, the rallying bit, the Tiff bit and watching the segments I was interested in (7 series and the ROC) I finished watching the recording at 7.55 when the end...

    C class estate.

Personally I think the E is a more classy ;) proposition but it's a big car. At the moment bigger cars are perceived as a luxury in the used market so it could well be a great time to buy big. One thing though - change your postcode in Autotrader as your location can be identified from the...

    screenwash lies

Door mirror elements come on independently of the heated rear window element. Now I need to look under the bonnet for wires to the washer jets.
