    Cleaning seat belts

Just use some APC (all purpose cleaner) diluted. Don't get the belts too wet. Should do the trick.

Check your tyres. A salutary lesson.

Admire your honesty but I guess you were lucky in more ways than one as if the BiB had have spotted you, the fines are mahoosive these days. Had my car MOT'd last week and was informed I've got about another 2000 miles on my rears so it's something I've got to man up to as well. :(

    Old Wheels

I'd send them off to be professionally refurb'd if I were you. I've got the 2 piece AMG ones that look very similar to that and they were all suffering from terrible corrosion where the two pieces meet. Had them chemically stripped, blasted and powder coated - the rims in silver and the centre a...

CL55. To buy or Not to buy.

Warranty is with Warranty Direct. It's not listed on their website but if you call them, they have what I think was called a prestige warranty. Covers pretty much everything but you do have to pay 10% of any claim. No restriction on who performs the repair, can be MB or any reputable garage.

CL55. To buy or Not to buy.

I've had a CL600 biturbo for approx a year now and I love every thing about the car. Yes the repair bills would bring a tear to a glass eye but if you're in the market for this sort of car, you have to expect that. I've a very good warranty and while this wasn't cheap, it takes the risk out of...

    Cheapest 5W30 oil?

I wouldn't scrimp on oil... a false economy in my opinion. You might want to check out Opie Oils? They supply just about anything you might want and always have offers on. There's 25% off of Shell 5W30 at the moment.

Thinking of buying an CLK Kompressor Convertible

As with most MB's of that era, you should check for rust. The CLK conv was particularly bad on the rear qtr's. If it has a full MB service history, you 'should' be able to get this remedied under their warranty although people on here will tell you it's not as straight forward as it should be...

    Quality Car Wax/Protection

I'm a fan of Dodo Juice products. As with most jobs, the benefits gained are all in the preparation. I'd recommednd claying the car first and then preparing for wax using Dodo Juice Lime prime. This has micro-abrasives which clean the paint (or clearcoat) ready for wax. Top off with a dodo juice...

    England Lose World Cup Bid.

I've beento both Moscow and Doha following England and I have to say, both countries are not suitable. Moscow was the most hostile place I have ever been to... absolutely dreadful. Doha has nothing going for it either and when you consider it's a dry country and you can only get drinks in...

    ML 320 CDI Buying Advice...

Whilst I'm an MB fan, the ML320 was a shocking piece of crap. So many problems, big ones and little ones. At the end of the day, the build quality was rubbish... simple things like trim falling off to the more expensive ones like catalytic converters failing due to poor quality fabrication at...
