    Brake judder

Just had the "juddering" in my new addition (ML500) to the family - now two V8's :-) Turned out that the front discs were warped - OEM fitted and now super smooth braking as you would expect.

    7G Gearbox

Paddles! Played a couple of times and that's it. Put it in "Silly" mode, and fun begins (like a 350 LC) :thumb:

    7G Gearbox

Correct me if I'm wrong but my CLK 500 has the same 7G gearbox, a few months ago I felt it was a bit sluggish in gear changes, so with the service yesterday I asked MB Lincoln to take a look - nothing wrong or recorded by STAR. They did update the software for the engine and gearbox. Took it...

    Oponeo

Yep, I did the same for a set of front winters - couldn't source them in the UK and wanted a matching set. Efficient.

Poll - Do you use winter tyres?

Put the winter rubber on in November, and must admit that the car hasn't moved in any of the snow at all. I'm very disappointed in the rubber! Just my luck, seem to have been offshore every time the white stuff has come down on the UK :-) ATB, All the Mud

ABC warning after 10 day lay up!

I used to leave my CL55AMG for 31 days at a time - due to work. Always gave me the same warning, up and down a few times and no more warning until two months later and repeat. Never any evidence on the garage floor to see. After gleaning info from the many mentions here, just put it down to...

    Disrespectful

G4S were wrong - simple. Travelling in "combats", not something I would have ever done - it's working dress. Travelling in Nos 1 or 2's? Would never have chosen that either, straight into civvies! Wanting to travel in uniform says to me "look at me!". In my day we were advised against wearing...

    Air rifle advice

Some very good advice given here. I'd go for a Weihrauch in .177 for what your needs are. Excellent German engineering and quality (sound familiar?). As has been said, 'a hole in the head is a hole in the head - dead. The .177 has a much flatter trajectory and should aid in better accuracy and...

    Winter tyres

Typical, as I guessed! Got offshore just before the snow started and home at the end of January when more than likely the snow and ice will be gone :-) CLK tucked up in the garage, booted with the winter rubber!
