is their power going to ur dash? if their is ur doing better than me my steering lock wont even turn off :eek:

all fuses were checked their all ok. i hooked up the battery today and the milage on the clocks show up but nothing else. so im thinking it mite be the ecu that got fryed. if so ill just scrap the car as it will be too expensive to fix

id say it blew something because when i put in the right battery their was no power reaching the dash or ecu. so cant connect it to a laptop to see whet the fault is :wallbash:

it was late at nite when i went to move the car. its not being used so i take out the battery. i picked up the jeep battery i had their and put that into it. not looking at what i was doing when it was dark and connected it wrong. it gave out a loud spark so i disconnected it straight away. but...

ive checked all fuses they are fine. and the relay that i taught would be for the battery seems to be for the fuel pump. part number A0025421319 V23134-B52-X336.

yes it does have a relay in the booth. i went to a auto factors butt they dont have one. ill try get to main dealers and buy one. hopefully it does the job :dk:

all fuses are ok but i dont know about relays have no way to check. would the relay in the booth not have blown? i would imagine that would blow before ecu or should i say hope it would blow :doh:

hi guys not sure if this is in the right section but the battery on my 98 clk was connected to the wrong terminals. no lights on dash now etc so im wondering what damage was likely done. im hopeing i just blew the relay in the booth but want to know what to check when i go at it

hopefully that will sort it out for u. as its a nightmare ive looked at the car alot of times trying to find fuses blown hopeing a missed a fuse box as their is a few in the car. so hopefully when u replace the part and it works mine will be the same. thanks for that info hopefully it will work :)

i have the same problem in my clk. i stopped off to get petrol and when i restarted the car i had no low beams, fogs, indicators. wipers or jet washers. so i taught it was the stalk also so i changed that mydelf and also the light switch while i was at it. when i reconnected the batt and tested...
