    E350 CDI, C207 2009 Not Heating Up.

That's the price of an OEM thermostat for the OM642 engine. It's on back order with most MB dealers. You won't find a genuine A6422002215 part any cheaper elsewhere. Maybe you can buy a cheap pattern part for £50

    E350 CDI, C207 2009 Not Heating Up.

Hi, I have the same issue with my S212 E350 2010 - i'm going to replace the thermostat this coming weekend. Does anyone know the torque settings for the thermostat bolts? and is it advisable to smear some silicon grease around the rubber gasket inset into the thermostat housing? Thanks

    2010 E350 S212 Rear Airmatic leak

Bill, After much head scratching we opted to have both rear air bellows replaced. We took it to a Mercedes Specialist who had the car for a few days to monitor it and they said it was within spec but i told them to replace the rear bellows and the rear pipes as well as we tow a caravan and i...

    2010 E350 S212 Rear Airmatic leak

Thanks. That helps but what perplexes me is that the car never drops on one side - equally across the rear which makes me think that it's something other than rear bellows. Just want to be sure as the last thing I want is to change the rear bellows at great expense only to find it's a pressure...

    2010 E350 S212 Rear Airmatic leak

Hi Guys As title, our S212 has had the infamous rear suspension dropping overnight when the temperatures are very cold. Checked all pipework - ok Replaced airmatic valve block behind the rear bumper with a new part to rule it out - made no difference The suspension drops uniformly (not one...

    SL55 Twin idler bearing

Guys, I renewed my bearing with a complete new unit from MB at a cost of nearly £400 for the part! So, thought i'd refurb my old one with new bearings and keep it as a spare. The alloy front part of the bearing houses a 6203 RS bearing - easy But i'm struggling to find the bearing that sits...

    SL55 Ride Height

Hi All Decided to lower my 2006 SL55 as I felt the ride height was too high So, I opted for the simple way :) lowering links as the car can be easily returned to standard and it's low cost The instructions recommend an 8mm adjustment on the links but I opted to do just 5mm as this represents...

    E Class - W212 Fan Blower Modes

After owning both an E350 coupe 2009 and now an E350 estate (2010) - why is it you can't set the AC to blow on your feet and face simultaneously? A colleagues 2011 E350 can have this setting on the AC (face and feet) so - are the early cars affected? and was there an update by MB? Anyone...

    300SL 107 - Poor start

Hi Guys, This topic has probably been done to death but my SL suffers with poor cold start, and not brilliant warm start either TBH. When starting from cold, i can't touch the accelerator, just crank it for a while and it'll start with a really lumpy idle for a few minutes until warmed up. When...
