yes , in the close position as well don't remember the motor going mad , but the sunroof wouldn't open and had the same thing with closing the blind .

you have to fully close the sun blinds ,then hold the switch for a couple of seconds . then fully open them and hold for a few seconds . then you should be able to open the sunroof , then close and hold the switch again . and then it should work ok . i had to do this on mine recently after...
