As you point out, FMBSH does not mean that everything was done. Issue is, even when 'added extras' as you put it have actually been done, these do not always get added to the electronic service history by the garage.

I don't agree with this I'm afraid. Typically you can buy outdoor covers for top marques, e.g. a Ferrari, which you so obviously would not want to scratch. I've previously used an outdoor cover to good effect and superior ones definitely won't be made of plastic and will likely set you back...
