I had a similar problem with my C250. I was getting no turbo and it was running like a sack of muck. Traced the problem to a very thin vacuum pipe next to the duo valve. the pipe had simply come off. When reattached the car was running as good as ever.

The back rest of the drivers seat in my w202 keeps going back when sitting in the car. It does not go back totally just about 1/4 turn of the adjuster but it is bugging the hell out of me. The adjuster turns as it does it. How can I rectify this without the need to remortgage the house?

I don't know if things changed slightly in the 2 years difference between your C180 & my 1999 C250 but I can adjust the temp from the centre face level vents just the same as the others. If one side side the car is on cold and the other hot the face vents react with one cold and one hot.

I checked the prices for a pollen filter from a factored part place (Europarts I think) and I am pretty sure the price stated was about £12. When the independent chappie offered to s&f for £20 then £8 seemed a good deal instead of me having to do it myself. Lazy I know but what the hay...

The EGR valve on my C250 TD auto was causing problems too. If you used kickdown then backed off the pedal then reapplied the accelerator the car was very unresponsive, lumpy and smokey. Blocked the EGR valve off and it has been a dream ever since. The MPG also improved dramatically....:)
