Thanks Richard, I got a Philips cleaning CD (with little brushes). Actually the liquid in the kit I have is for cleaning CD's and it warns not to use on the brush for cleaning the lense. However I can't get the cleaning CD to run!

Many thanks for the helpful replies: - I checked the other switch in this 2-way system and it also does not use yellow for the common connection, it uses red, with blue and yellow for L1 and L2. So I think the above explanations seem good and it's just that it was not wired conventionally...

Hi helpful guys, Anyone know how to wire a 2-way switch? I'm replacing a switch with a dimmer but the old switch has terminals marked unconventionally as 1, 2, 3 where as the new dimmer has the more normal L1, L2 and Common terminal. Could anyone tell me which how they corespond? Thanks

I've just been quoted £330 plus fuel, air filters and brake fluid, totalling £445 and this is meant to be a "special" price to meet independent garage prices, so I don't get the usual 4-yr old car discounts.

Had the X5 3.0L petrol when they first launched the car - I'm sure you will love it, I did, it's a great drive. Consumption was approx 22MPG though. (my CLK diesel is 45MPG which takes some of the sting off the fuel price increases)

Tesco quote for 7-yr old mini for annual car recovery £26 plus £10 Tesco vouchers too = £16. They use Green Flag Include the recovery in a Tesco insurance (we did last year) and it was something like £68 adder Green Flag quoted directly £46. Go figure

I think it took me over a year to notice the sun glasses holder too. I was equally pleasantly amused when I discovered the little pop out cubby hole in the dash. I've never used it though!
