Thanks for the advice and I'm after the whole kit including wiring. I did call Mercedes and was quoted £1400+. Local place wants £600 which I think is rather steep. Guess I have to keep an eye open on eGay!

Yes - they even update the electronic service records as that's something I was worried about too since there are no more service books.

I use them and they know our cars inside out. They also have all the Mercedes equipment needed to diagnose any issues. Use with confidence.

Well , I actually managed to go and test drive one last week,a 250d with the optional 20" rims on. Can't remember the make of tyre but try as I may it didn't crab ! I agree it has it's flaws but I want one as there's no other car that ticks all the boxes for me at the moment . What can I say ?!

The MPSS have better grip in the wet and dry and so far haver lasted extremely well . Over 6k miles and still plenty of meat left on them. What mileage do you get out of yours and what tyre pressures do you run ?

Beg to differ . Running MPSS on mine . They are hard wearing with fantastic grip levels . Difference between the MPSS and Contis is like night and day !
