My bottom bolt was rusty so I ordered replacement bolts. I used a ratchet with an extension, the ratchet was positioned behind the fan in between the fan and rad. Really easy to remove that way.

The Merc failed it's MOT today. Seats won't lock in upright position. They auto lock when doors are shut and engine's running, i guess he didn't know. I've got a leaky shock. I am going to remove both front shocks and send them to Bilstein for refurb. Lower balljoint play. Not too bad...

I have an 89 coupe with a full genuine AMG kit with the recessed AMG lettering on the front bumper and also on the ducktail. I also have the 17" AMG monoblock alloys with a diamond polished lip. How much is this worth?

I have used the DVLA site to see the last 5 MOT's they give some insight, reasons for refusal, advisories and obviously the mileage, maybe i'll contact those testers to see if they have any additional information on the car. I will try the previous owners too. Cheers.

Hi, I recently purchased a 300ce coupe and sadly the history of the car is non-existant. Has anyone ever successfully tracked down any history of a car? I'm thinking of asking the local garage where the car spent most of it's life. Might try asking Mercedes if there is anything on their systems...

Are you using an all purpose cleaner? Try using a good bristle brush for shoe polishing.

Hi I am in need of the rear light bulb carrier as the contact for the fog has broken off. I only require the nearside (passenger) carrier. Thanks.

Rust wise, so far the nearside front wing has some scabs, the offside drivers arch on the inner lip has the start of some. I ran my fingers behind the rear arches and managed to get out so much mud! Loads of it all packed into the arch, not good! I plan to get both front wings done properly...
