W209Car still pulls to one side

Obvious question.... same tyres and similar wear on each side? If you have had all geometry checked then possibly brake drag (sticking pistons) or.... imbalance in power steering (jack both wheels off ground and with engine running wheels straight they should not move), you can spin the wheels...

Compression Test / Coolant loss ??

Yeah carpets dry, no signs of water inside the car, and by the amount I'm losing it would be swimming ! ;-)

Compression Test / Coolant loss ??

Hi Optimusprime... Ran the car about 3 hours ago and just gone out to have a feel around... it's a little oily in that area but I'm pretty sure there is water there also, had a look from the oil filter side and there is definitely damage (a split) to the heater hose coming off the head, so...

Compression Test / Coolant loss ??

Hi 190, No water in oil, I'm assuming if it is gasket that it would be blown from water channel to cylinder... I'm just thinking that it's a fair amount of water to loose without any visible signs??

Compression Test / Coolant loss ??

Hi all, M102 W124 230CE, losing coolant (about 3-4 pints per week!) I have looked when hot, when cold but can see no obvious leak, reasonably new radiator, thermostat plus housing and expansion tank cap. Also when I go to top up, invariably there is still pressure in the system. I did a...

W203 Auto Transmission Sump Plug Seized - any tips

Had the same problem on my W124, rather than knacker anything I drained it by loosening the sump nuts bit by bit tilting it down towards a large container, just remember there will be a good amount left in the sump when you finally remove it so keep it level.

    W124 Front wings

I fitted 2 front wings from ECP, offer at the time around £100 the pair delivered, fitted quite easily, good alignment and feel solid.

Repairs to footpath across dropped kerb.

I had one in a previous property some 20+ years ago, IIRC, you are responsible for any 'constructional defects' for 12 months. The council assume responsibility for any maintenance at no cost to you, unless damage is caused by illegal use of: for example using the crossover for heavy commercial...

    C124 window issue

The motor assembly is removable without the regulator (but take care and support regulator / glass) The motors have a switch inside (not sure but think it's a bi-metallic arrangement to cut the power on overload) it can with a little digging be 'got at' and reset..... but if you do need a new...

    GU10 LED Lights

Installed loads of them over the last year or so, home and in the hotel I work at, the price is about right for dimmable. Just look at the time you have lights on, current wattage, pence / WKHr and work out the payback time. If its years then maybe not change, unless you just want to (nicer...

    Jetronic KE expert anyone ??

Well, possibly a breakthrough !!! With the Lambda disconnected I have seen no occurrences of the ramp to plus or minus 10mA (yet !, only been today..) So will leave as is until the weekend to prove beyond reasonable doubt and order a replacement. Still then intend to leave the EHA meter...

    Jetronic KE expert anyone ??

Thanks for all the responses guys, I don't think EZL / ignition issue, all works fine apart from the current being sent to the EHA at certain times. Re O2 sensor, tbh I have not had a chance to get on the ramps yet (oh, various other things getting in my way atm!!) but I am not 100% sure it...

    Jetronic KE expert anyone ??

Thanks Marku, any info appreciated... can't for the life of me come up with a set of circumstances that would cause the ECU to drive the output to the EHA to plus 10mA or minus 10mA ?!?

    Jetronic KE expert anyone ??

Running out of ideas myself, need to know why ECU would appear to work correctly at cold start / start-up / over-run but normal driving it keeps ramping EHA current to minus 10 mA ?? :wallbash:
