    Best wipers for W204 c-class?

I have some terrible wipers, that if memory serves were put on by mercedes at some point 1-2 years ago. Smearing, and downright dangerous at night. any good recommendations for the best wipers to stick on?

    Bentley Bentayga

Seen a couple of them now in the flesh, and I think it looks a lot better than the photos, certainly has some presence, the grill is huge! Hopefully astronomical depreciation will make it a good buy in 3-4 years, I reckon it would be a laugh.

    Slight oil leak....

Just got my car back from service and was told there was a slight oil leak. My local mechanic who does my MOT told me the same thing 2 weeks ago so that isn't in question. Have been told its a seal on an engine oil pan. They say the cleaned it off and left the engine running and it didn't come...

    New Top Gear

I have yet to complete an episode of this, Chris Evans voice is so annoying. I don't remember it being like this before, it seems to be the right frequency to echo or some strange mic setup or something...

    Vito/Viano or VW transporter?

I'm finding myself in need of a van and rightly or wrongly I've narrowed it down to the above choices. budget is around £10k, and I'm noticing a huge price differential between the Vito and the Viano, which I'm assuming is basically the smaller luxuries. Firstly, is it particularly worth it...

a discount "equivalent to your NCB"...

So have just had to jiggle around my insurance on cars. Insurance on an X1 became due, so I called to move the 8 years NCB from the C63 to that. However, I was also insuring an Audi A3 which was the main reason of the call, they did me a deal on that, then when they asked why I wasn't renewing...

    80's Rolls Royces and Bentleys

Strangely my cousin has been doing this. Buying old jags, bentleys, some mercs and rollers, shipping them to Ukraine, getting them totally restored super cheap and selling them on. Last thing thing he did was a jag, bought for 2k, totally restored for 2k and moved on

    Admiral insurnce

EXACTLY the same here. Bloody annoying too, because I now have 3 cars insurance to pay on the same day rather then spread over the year

    Buying abroad? (EU)

very interesting all round. The idea of ending up with a G63 for G350 prices is rather appealing... Will have to get the spec sheets out later! -In the meantime I'll ask my friend to call his local dealers and sound them out re RHD supply...

    Buying abroad? (EU)

you appear to be missing the point uk price £87995 otr Eu price imported immediately with UK VAT paid £63600. Forgetting the 6 months, thats still a £24k saving (probably more like £22k after tax etc) With regards to the who, there are plenty of people here buying GL's, AMGs and other...

    Buying abroad? (EU)

interesting, thanks. However, I don't want to pay uk prices ex-vat, since they're still significantly higher then european prices including vat! The G350 works out at £74166 uk price ex vat, but £63900 INC vat in Germany. jonthetourist it might be a minority interest subject, but with...

    Buying abroad? (EU)

Just wondering about this, while day dreaming about a G Wagen £87995 here otr £63900 in europe (not sure if thats otr) Firstly, how are MB with letting you order a RHD car in europe? Secondly, how would it work in practise? I found an interesting post on another forum, but didn't quite...

Windscreen replacement, autoglass glass or OEM?

Thanks, seems I have more opportunity to get OEM, autoglass failed to turn up, and sent me an email saying I've been rescheduled to 30th of July....! Not amused! Their official line is that its exactly the same windscreen from the same factory, just without the mb stamp on it. Have looked all...

Windscreen replacement, autoglass glass or OEM?

It's a 10 plate car so no warranty. They did ask about rain sensors, but not about tints. I'll check... The option wasn't to go via mb to have it fitted, if I want OEM autoglass would still be the fitter

Windscreen replacement, autoglass glass or OEM?

Just come back from a few days away to find a nice 8 inch crack along my windscreen along with a small chip... Really odd, no other damage at all on the car. Its like someone hit it with a hammer  Anyway, called insurance co, straight through to autoglass. They claim to offer the exact...

    C63 help

Just a point, they do not service the 63 just before you buy it. I was also told the car had just been serviced when I bought it, 4 months later on pops the service light. Complained and was told I must be wrong about it, C63 service is every year and they'd never ever interrupt that schedule...

A couple of points on the 'visual health check'

Just got sent the link to the visual health check and they've raised a couple of points, mostly filler but I'm wondering about a couple of bits. 1) Front brake pads 70% worn. ok? so when are they usually changed? Seems very worn considering I only have 28k miles on the car? 2) Inside of the...
