Locked out of car, no spare key.

It was 4 years ago. He's got them back now.

    £4000 reliable mercedes?

No cruise control (OP has said it's a must) and manual. But it shows just what is out there.

    £4000 reliable mercedes?

My CLS500SB loves nothing more than hammering along the motorway and it's a wonderful place to sit while it does it. It has done 95,000 miles now and I can't think of anything I'd have rather been in for those miles. Why make yourself suffer in something less for all those miles? And at the...

    £4000 reliable mercedes?

We paid less than your budget for Mrs jdrrco's W202 C200. 44,000 miles from new and one owner with full MB service history. She does 80 miles each day to and from work and it hasn't missed a beat. It is still immaculate and flew through its MOT just today. You talk about "doing big miles". 20k...

    Modern Classic?

To return to the OPs original question (if that isn't too radical), The SL Shop are excellent, but expensive. I used to use them for my R107 and they did a very good job. They probably charge slightly more than a MB main dealer, but they do know what they are experts rather than YTS apprentices.

GLE AMG recalled replacement part taking forever to be supplied , no courtesy car offered in Nottingham garage.

Shocking. This is a recall issue. Speak to MB customer service. You should definitely have a loan car until yours is fixed.

    No-one knows then?

    Auxiliary battery X218

Thank you. I've got the perspective now, but that's exactly where the subwoofer is. It takes up all of that space to the right of the spare wheel.

    Auxiliary battery X218

Thanks for the photos. Does it say where in the car it is?

    Auxiliary battery X218

Thanks for replies. VIN is WDD2189732A055119 It has B03 (start/stop) but not 4U7. I've looked in the boot next to the spare wheel, but that space is taken up with the HK subwoofer. I'll check the passenger footwell too.

    Auxiliary battery X218

Hello all Does anyone know the location of the auxiliary battery in a CLS SB? I can't see any reference to it in the manual. Many thanks in anticipation.

Is it time to let it go?

Mark just has it advertised as tba. I will say that his cars are always very well-presented and prepared. He is in business, of course, but he is passionate about MBs and looks after his customers.

    Happy Birthday, jdrrco

Many thanks for the birthday greetings. Very kind. I'd never noticed this feature of the forum before. The day itself was spent mainly on French motorways (8:18 hrs) as we headed back to Rotterdam from Villandry to catch the overnight ferry to Hull. But many happy memories of a warm sunny...

New family car - what to try next?

This one is mine. Don't get too excited, though. There were only two sold in the UK, both originally registered to MB at Milton Keynes as staff cars. That does mean there's one other out there somewhere... https://forums.mbclub.co.uk/media/albums/the-beast.1217/

New family car - what to try next?

Hold out for the right car. It took me months of daily searching until my CLS500SB appeared amd it was so worth the wait. If I'd settled for something else in the meantime and missed it, I'd have been gutted.
