The A/C guy will fit a Nissen, he's diagnosed, will supply, fit and guarantee. (My preferred choice)

It can damage rubber seals, and also stress the window regulator. Mk2 Audi TTs used to suffer this, particularly feeble window mechanisms would fail.

Looks a good spec on those Noco's for me I'd probably be okay with a 2amp jobbie.

When I did mine the rubber was obviously deteriorated and split. Straightforward albeit fiddly (R129 SL)

Before you launch into anything expensive try the simple things 1st. I had similar, the car was running on ECP own brand oil albeit the correct specification. I swapped to Petronus (other premium brands are available) and all fixed.

I won't be using one of my cars for a wee while so it's on a ctek. I really rate them. I had an elderly SL for 9 yrs, each winter living outside on a ctek. Battery remained good in my custody. No idea how old it was.

I don't know if this applies to your model or not but My R129 had blank rubber grommets in each footwell. These had perished and collapsed allowing spray to come up from underneath. The carpets and foam backing were saturated, took me ages to dry out. Easy to inspect and replace from underneath...
