String a few up - give 'em the message, and letting trash like Doherty out early really sends out a good message.

    This should get blood boiling

Because had you or one of the favoured posted it, we both know that nothing would be said - we have had plenty of posts where violence has been suggested as retribution for damage to a vehicle, is that not a little more serious? Still, we know they way it is now don't we? no jokes about such...

    This should get blood boiling

It would take someone small minded to consider that an off the cuff joke about such a thing should be taken seriously ;) I also want anyone who has a crash of any description to be charged with the potentially heinous crime of theft of paint by frictional transfer.

    This should get blood boiling

I reckon that we should legalize every crime against person and property and apply the death penalty to valve core thieves, then there won't be any crime on the UK.

    This should get blood boiling

Ages ago in India I had a current loop simulator stolen while I turned my back on some equipment. I was understandably slightly annoyed. I take the attitude that if were caught thieving (for example valve cores) while on site, I would be slung off directly, and I expect the same level of...

no mot, out by 3 days fixed penalty help!!!

It's only the way it's recorded - I mean you wouldn't want people to get the wrong idea and think that the UK is fast becoming completely lawless would you? It's like the Wild West in some parts, and I thank the good Lord that I live in one of the better bits. On a lighter note, if you smash...

    Swap a R171 engine in a R170

Oh dear, I hope you don't steal valve cores. As you can see we have slightly crossed purposes here - you referring to putting a new engine into his car and me referring to his requirement to notify DVLA. As an aside, apart from putting a metro turbo engine in my mini, I wouldn't waste huge...

    Swap a R171 engine in a R170

If he is being serious - the I'm pretty sure that YES is the answer, unless of course you just swap the engine numbers. But that wouldn't be legal and as such we can't condone it here. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/ChangesToYourRegistrationCertificate/DG_4022054

    Missing hard drive

I think our OP needs to right click on both the visible partitions in "my computer" and see what he actually has. He has one of these I think.

That's not me, that is the DVLA... Take your tax in with you as they reissue it and cancel the old one.

    Servicing requrements W203

As a slight caution for those that use Costco and have a cheque payment facility (generally those with a business "account") - Costco are getting very strict that the name on the cheque matches exactly the name on the card. I have always tended to use both my comapny cheque book and my...

Add the DVLA to my list of wasters

Silly me - I'm not sure about insurance - on paper probably no, but if you have it to hand it can't hurt. if you need vehicle tax for either vehicle at the same time, you will need to complete a V10 tax application form or the V11 tax reminder form and provide the relevant certificate of...

Add the DVLA to my list of wasters

Take the MOT and insurance with you - I'm pretty sure my old MOT was retained and a new one issued. I got mine done in about an hour.
