    ABC Strut identification problem.

After failing MOT with a leaking strut, I've tracked one down from a breaker - but not sure if it will fit ?? The MB part number is exactly the same, but the SACHS number is different :( Also where mine has a big L2 sticker on, the breaker has L5 - anyone know what these mean ? Any thoughts...

    R230 Anti Roll Bars

OK. Thanks for your help I think what I'll do as long as it's only sinking once every couple of weeks is live with it. If it gets a lot worse I think I'll go for the coilover option ( especially as I all ready have them sat in the garage waiting to go on) It's just the dropping subframes I'm...

    R230 Anti Roll Bars

I just can't figure out why both front and rear sink on one side, I thought they each were controlled by different blocks, seems a bit of a coincidence that each block would occasionally leak at the same time as the other - if that makes sense..

    R230 Anti Roll Bars

It's a 2002 with 98k miles. I can go out in it nine times out of ten, park it up for a few days and it doesn't sink at all. I can then go out again, park it up and it will sink in about ten minutes (not normally completely, but about half way) Thing is, it really doesn't make financial sense...

    R230 Anti Roll Bars

Occasionally sinks on one side, doesn't lose any fluid, but about once a month it will sink ( fluid was changed in September at last service ) I bought the car cheaply as it was sinking every time it was parked up. The fluid level was low, I topped it up and cycled the suspension about 20...

    R230 Anti Roll Bars

A bit of both really.. slight fault at the moment, but also hopefully future proof the car against expensive suspension problems. I was thinking of using SL350 ARB's.

    R230 Anti Roll Bars

I'm thinking I may need to go the coilover conversion route (I know this won't get everyone's approval) and it appears to fit arb's the subframes need to be removed !! Has anyone done this ?

    Hello again.. Just bought R230

Hello there.. Just returning, I was here previously as I had a ML55 for a while. Now bought a 2002 SL500. Rightly or wrongly I bought one fairly cheaply with a suspension fault (I thought if I bought a good one, I could pay top money and still develop a fault and still cost me money !!) When...

    Thoughts on high miles c350cdi

I've got chance of a 2010 c350cdi estate, seems a reasonable price at £9k, but mileage is 140,000. Service history is full dealer (with all invoices/paperwork) with last one about 2k ago. Any thoughts on this - is it likely to be money pit ? Thanks

ML Fog Lights - Cheap Fix

I bought a new (to me ) ML a few weeks back :thumb: I really like it, but does need a few jobs. One of which was the front fog lights, were really grotty:mad: and did let the front end down. I managed to find some on eBay. Same size to within a few mm's, brand new, and all for the...

    Get you home lights

Yeah, I realise that .. But in 'Auto' position, no lights come on when dark - need to be in 'On' position to work.
