    Apology - Question - E500 Estate

OP. Last year, my friend had a 3.7 D3 A8, and got rid of it for a convertible. He says this was the worst decision he ever made. Yeah, his Audi needed new tyres every 6000 miles, and sometimes the transmission would go into limp mode, but he loved it. He has now sold his convertible and has...

Do you slip it into neutral?

You'll actually find keeping hot pads pressed against the disc will cause warped discs. +1 to me

    Gl500

Avoid the X5; it will certainly get stolen. If you find a decent R500 with low mileage, I'd be surprised. They are getting hard to come by now. Ever considered an Audi A8? Or even an S8?

Laying a water pipe and cable

Ahh I see! I always assumed when the supply was lost, you'd lose the live and the neutral together, but I imagine if it was on a TT, a neutral could easily be lost if it was damaged by a tree or something. Never even thought of that before.

Laying a water pipe and cable

Could you not just use two core armoured and use the armour as an earth, by connecting that straight to the earth in the house CU? Then if the Supplier neutral was lost and there was a fault, then it would trip the RCD?

    Lubricant

This is a detailers thread, not housewives using household materials. Grab some of Auto Glyms top gloss detailer. It's a great lubricant and also leaves some top notch water beading.

Am I worrying over something simple?

Yes, of course I did a HPI check. It's clear. I'm actually completely aware of CAT D's and C's. It basically means that the car has had an accident and you know about it. Doesn't stop a car having a big smash, getting repaired, and not getting written off as a Category. The previous car was...

Am I worrying over something simple?

BOUGHT Ok, I've been a little dishonest. It's my car. I'm a 20 year old. Call me a yob, but I'm not.

Am I worrying over something simple?

Runs much smoother. OBD says over 90 now. Never seen it over 82 before. Need to take it out on a run now it heats up.

Am I worrying over something simple?

So gave to it ford. They tell me no fault. I did not accept. They had another look. Suspected thermostat fault. £171 later, turns out the clip had broken, exactly as all the mondeo forums pointed out. Thanks for everyone's comments.

    Tyreleaders?

Tyres ordered Tuesday evening at around 8pm. Arrived today at 4pm. Brand new, unmarked. Very impressed. Got about 3 tracking numbers, as it gets passed between delivery companies.

    Tyreleaders?

Probably your cards. My card actually prompted the Halifax security screen which I've never seen before. I've ordered from there this week and I await delivery.
