    Diesel Particulate Filter maintenance

Particulate issues relate to driving speed not annual mileage. If your average speed is high enough you'll be OK. Given that you're inside M25 that's not that likely so you may want to think about a petrol engine. Also, the economics of diesel vs petrol at that annual mileage just don't stack...

2000 w210 E220 cdi epc and oil pressure switch warning lights

You twit! No need for a jet wash near any engine bay, ever. Sounds like you've soaked the throttle gubbins. Take it off and dry with a hairdryer. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Help/Advice: Engine Management light & HID Light Fault

HID bulb change is no problem. Just do both with decent quality lamps from Philips or similar. Likely to be the originals and due a change anyway. Tackle the pipes yourself and save yourself the price of the bulbs. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Help! ---CLK 320 cdi --no reaction to turning key to crank starter position

Needs a perfect battery. Replace it if doubtful. Also a jump from another car will also assist when you have charged your own. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

air hissing noise from brake area

Loads available in scrapper yards. Speak to a good indy. Not a big job to swap, technically. More a PITA. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

air hissing noise from brake area

Check for air (vacuum) leak at your servo. Simple to see/ check. Should have reduced braking though if there's any significant leakage. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Turning off ECO stop start W204 for good

What a silly load of ******** this thread is. Just don't buy the W204. Simple. Find a similar car without it and you'll be lucky. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    Another 320cdi w210 starting issue!

Agreed. I spilled plenty on the belts and the heat will sort it. Despite my initial concerns, the diesel did no harm to the belt. The honk will disappear in a few days. Don't jet wash in there. At best spray a bit of Gunk and rinse it with a hose. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    Another 320cdi w210 starting issue!

I think, from experience, replacing those pipes completely is a better job than faffing around with O rings. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    2004 S320 CDI Engine Temperature

Should be high 80s to very low 90s at all times. If you have the I6 engine then the thermostat is probably dud. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    Fan always on - 84 500SEC

This fan will be engine driven and obviously will be in the space between engine and radiator. With a/c, the fan is most likely directly behind the front grille at the very front acting on the a/c condenser (radiator). Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
