    Checking out a G Wagen

Can't comment on what to look for beyond the obvious, but looks the smartest example I've seen a few years. Keep us posted on how it turns out.

Your favorite scenic roads and places in Wales

Not the most exotic, but I was impressed by the A44 into Aber in that you had some very good scenery but the road was wide / fast enough that you could pass easily when required.

    W222 s63 amg 2015

I have a lot of time for the W222 - although once you spec up a 63 to match the equipment levels of 600 the 600 is actually better value so would probably lean towards that.

One year, two days, and 20,000 miles in the CL55

Thinking about this, if you do and decide to stick with it, I'd be happy to buy yours off you.

One year, two days, and 20,000 miles in the CL55

I liked my single slat to start with, but the plastic chrome is pitting and having looked through some of the original press pictures, I'm really liking the standard one at the moment. My seals are frayed above the tweeters, but I think the problem is that they are not sealing 100% where the...

One year, two days, and 20,000 miles in the CL55

Thanks Peter, was great to meet you and see what must be one of the best CLs out there! Yes, am starting with Alpina GB in Nottingham. Less money to start with, but more consistent and cheaper living. Will keep the current setup as a sideline though, just not actively market it. Will see...

It will shine on that sort of journey I'm sure. Enjoy!

One year, two days, and 20,000 miles in the CL55

Last Sunday saw the end of my first year of CL ownership and the (rather alarming) realisation that I'd done 20,000 miles and put £5k of fuel through it. The miles were probably split 60:40 between motorways and fast A and B roads, with my average speed showing as 48mph, with a shade over...

Speeding Is The New Drink Driving

Thinking back to my last year at school, out of the 30+ U19 drivers the worst accident that occurred was someone running over their own foot while attempting to push their car from the drivers door frame. Fast forward four or five years with people at work and there's been one fatality and a...

Tell Me About Micelin Pilot Sport 3's Please

My understanding with the Michelin range was the the Pilot Super Sport effectively replaced the PS 2, while the PS 3 is slightly further down the range but still excellent overall, trading a some of the PSS's dry ability for superior wet performance. I ran dozens of PS 3s on my last car and...

    Eurotunnel in an E class

For the sake of a few hours on the day I prefer to take the ferry as it just seems to save a lot of hassle and you can get a meal instead of then having to stop somewhere either before or after. What is always quite interesting to see is how many of the auto drivers forget to apply the...

Hello and welcome. I'm just along the A27 in Chi. Lots of good driving roads once you get off the peninsular.

    W220 s65 amg

I would certainly endorse this - makes for far more fluid progress, especially at lower speeds.

    Rolls Royce SUV

Can't see how this could be anything other than hideously gauche if they try and incorporate their existing design language.

    W221 (2005–2013) S-Class - wood effect?

Wood is pretty much part of the S Class - the least 'woody' will be the piano black. This is a US-market brochure, but shows the options: http://www.ragtop.org/mbbrochures/2007/sclass2.pdf
