The light behind the Rev counter on my 280 SL is not working, together with the amber fuel warning light & main beam light. Does this mean taking out the instrument binnacle to replace the bulbs or could it be a fuse ?

hi is it ok to run the engine of a M110 engined R107 without the vbelt on? I need to locate an exhaust manifold leak and its hard to test with the breeze caused by the radiator fan. i only want to idle it like this for a few mins in order to pin point the leaks.... not drive it etc. is...

Checked the 107 propshaft last week. Found this... Not even a slight noise or judder when driving it. Glad I looked now. New coupling from Merc... £95.00 + vat..:(

I'm fitting a Becker CD Nav head unit to my 500 SL and wondered if anybody had any guidance on the positioning of the small GPS aerial?

We have just take out a front subframe on a 107 to do the front subframe bushes. It was a bit of a job too!:crazy: The symptoms were a very wondery front end and after we had taken out the subframe the bushes literaly fell out.:eek: Here are some pics:

Too much work for the average owner but for someone with the facilities, is this 107 a viable proposition at £3500.00? I'd say LHD is turn-off for re-sale and just too many things to tidy up. Not used since 1997 either. Quite possibly within walking distance for Jay..
