Hi just wondered if this was correct. My 300e auto idles at approx 6-6.5k rpm when warm in Park/Neutral, and when in drive at standstill (at lights etc) it drops to 5k. This seems a bit low to me! However, as this is my first Merc it could be right?! Advice/help much appreciated!

The yellow warning light in the speedo comes on as soon as the car starts moving but goes off when I touch the brake pedal, I assume its something motion related such as a dirty sensor on one of the hubs, but please feel free to let me know if you have had a similar experience. Tx. Adrian

Looking at a set of genuine BBS RG2 18" x 8.5" ET38 that claim to be only 9kg per wheel! I know 8 1/2" width is pushing it but will they still fit OK on the 300E? Are there any potential probs anyone sees? Is there a way around it as these do not come up often @ a good price down here.
