i have a 5 year old pathfinder. the airbag light is staying on and nissan have said, the that their computer will not connect to the unit. A new unit must be fitted at a cost of £1300 before they can proceed. Any ideas?.

Guys, how is this done? I know there is an automatic child seat recognition system, but I'm guessing you have to have a Mercedes child seat for it to work? (which I don't have) so what if I want to put my own child seat in the front? How do I disable it manually?
