I have fitted new wheels and tyres with an aggressive offset to my w204, and the rear tyres are just catching on the trims (or flares) on the arches. (See pic) Has anyone removed these before? Not sure how Mercedes fixed them to the car? (Could be bonded)

I have brought time wheel arch extensions for my vito off ebay item no 221266928058. I thought they were fiberglass but they are steel. Does anybody known how to fit them, i am hoping the y don't have to be welded.
